I’d been thinking about a hair transplant for a while and chose Hairtran after reading good reviews here and on a few forums. I decided to go here by this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Te0-_ooibbM . I was already in Thailand for an extended stay, so Bangkok made sense. Almost all my communication went through Kevalee Sriutaisuk - always quick, thorough, and she speaks excellent English (as does Dr Patty), so there was never a language barrier. Leading up to the day I was excited and nervous, but meeting Dr Patty turned it into excitement. She’s friendly, personable, and lists potential side effects properly - expect the worst, hope for the best. I had no complications. They designed my hairline carefully; I never felt rushed. I asked the doctor to do the hairline herself, which she did, while assistants handled harvesting and most of the implanting. They reported just over 3500 grafts. Total for the procedure was 127,000 THB (about $3,600), and I added one PRP treatment at surgery for another ~$340. Aftercare is included - hair washes, laser, the lot, and I came in multiple times. Recovery went well; shedding was as expected and regrowth came faster than I thought. At six months I’m quite happy with the results (see photos). The hairline looks so natural I can barely remember the old one without pictures. I may still get more growth, and I’m not sure there’s enough donor left for the crown later, but if it stopped here I’d be satisfied. What can I say about Hairtran… I can only sing its praises. I recently had a hair transplant with Dr Patty after travelling over from Belfast, and after a lot of research it was an easy choice to put my faith in her and the clinic. What impressed me most was her honesty about my available donor hair, I’d had another surgery about ten years ago that went well, and she was straight with me about what’s left and what would benefit me long term, since I won’t be able to have another substantial operation. She wouldn’t push for more grafts just to take more money. Other clinics were selling 4300+, but she stuck at 3650 because your body can only handle so much at once. That integrity matters. Hairtran is more than Dr Patty though - the nurses, technicians and staff make the whole experience. Kevalee, the international advisor, stayed in touch throughout and made sure I was fully prepared. I was treated as an individual at every stage, including designing the hairline so I was happy before surgery. After the procedure they looked after me for days with washing and checks (they’ll do this for up to 14 days). Total cost was THB 150,000 for 3650 grafts plus three months of finasteride and minoxidil, a US doctor had quoted me about three times that.
